Camel Pose Yoga Sequence: Throat Chakra Yoga Sequence with Camel Pose Variations
Ustrasana (Camel Pose) has many variations to it and can either be considered an intermediate level or an advanced level pose, based on the individual's flexibility. Here in this sequence, we have used all the variations of Ustrasana (Camel Pose). Since this pose comes under the backbend series, it is essential to open the hips, shoulders and the lower back for the same. Hence use of some standing backbends along with counter forward bends are used as part of the yoga sequence.
Also notice that this yoga sequence brings in some twists as well to help in the strengthening of the muscles around the spine for a smooth backbend with all the variations of Ustrasana (Camel Pose). It ends with a few supine yoga poses to help maintain the back muscles with a few stretches.
Note: Please note that since this yoga sequence stretches the throat and the neck to a great deal, it also activates the Throat Chakra (Vishuddha Chakra). Hence this sequence can be done to open the Throat Chakra too.
